Besides Peart himself, one of only TWO people that I have ever seen play the 16th notes on the hi-hat properly for this song. They are played just before beat count giving the song an almost swing or clock movement feeling... its what gives the song the feeling of steadfast movement, almost as if the drums parts are in a mode of constant catching up with no time to slip up.

Hi mate. I hope you don’t think me rude. I am opinionated but I always say what I have an opinion. The ghost notes in Rosanna change throughout the song as Jeff Pocaro played it. Wouldn’t just teaching sing,e and double ghost notes in the h/t shuffle? It always got me a little or a lot confused with this method of installing ghost notes into the muscle memory. Maybe it’s the best way. It’s the traditional way and has lasted so I know there’s some merit in this way of teaching how to play ghost notes. Am I right?
